REVIEWING STRRET CHILD

Hi guys,

And today I’m going to be doing a book review on the book ‘Street child.’ So, put on your listening ears, find a cosy place to relax and enjoy!

Street child by: berlie Doherty

About the story:

A boy named Jim Jarvis lives with his two sisters Emily and Lily Jarvis and his mother Annie, but to be called Miss. Jarvis. Miss. Jarvis’ husband died, so now Miss. Jarvis works so hard to only get very little amounts of money. Soon she falls sick. Jim; the main character, took her very last shilling and used it to buy some meat and gravy pie; which he and his sisters ate, leaving the girls not knowing that Jim had spent their very last shilling.

So, in the morning a man named Mr. Spink (known as the stick man) asked for rent. But unfortunately, they didn’t have a single dime, so they were turned out, and another family took their apartment.

But lucky enough for Miss. Jarvis she had a wealthy friend called Rosie. Rosie was a famous cook. Miss. Jarvis and Rosie were as close as ham loves salt.

Miss. Jarvis asks Rosie to take Emily and Lily as if they were orphans, then Miss. Jarvis and Jim were walking together on the street when Jim’s mum fell on the street and refused to get up.

People and more people started to gather round him and his mother, asking him all kinds of questions. Soon police came and took Jim and his mother away to the warehouse

(where all the orphans stay, Mr and Mrs Sissons owned the place). They checked Jim’s mother in the medical room and after a couple of days he heard his mother was DEAD!
So, hey guys how did you like it? I won’t be giving you a full review because I want you to buy it and read it for yourself. You can get it on Amazon and Ebay. Thank
